Municipal Manager’s Office

Responsible for governance and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements... Supporting the Municipal Manager is a team of Directors appointed under Section 56 of the Municipal Systems Act. Each Director oversees a specific directorate and implements Council decisions. The strategic objectives are aligned with the Integrated Development Plan.

Risk Management

Coordinates and facilitates risk processes within the Municipality... This unit ensures policies and procedures are in place to manage risks. It helps the Municipality achieve objectives within tolerable levels of residual risk.

Internal Audit

Assists the Municipal Manager and Council in meeting objectives... Internal Audit ensures internal controls are effective, prevents fraud and abuse, and strengthens financial and performance oversight.

Performance Management & IDP

Establishes and maintains a performance management system (PMS)... The system monitors, reviews, and improves implementation of the IDP. It ensures municipal goals are met and services are delivered effectively.

Information & Communications Technology

Manages and maintains the Municipality’s ICT infrastructure... Provides secure and reliable services, ICT support, and policy development aligned with strategic goals. Also ensures ICT risk management.
